Daniel rounds out the top 10 and Robert pulls a fast one

Race one

Robert started out 21st and Daniel 12th, both making a solid start gave the brothers early opportunities to move up the field! Daniel was pushing hard into lap 2 when a spin at Stirlings dropped Daniel to last place. With almost half a lap behind the nearest competitor Daniel dug in and managed to break back into the pack, to finish 19th. Robert made good ground on lap 1, looking to progress further on lap 2 just as Daniel spun out in front of Robert causing the group to scatter! The excitement of beating Daniel for a change, fuelled Roberts desire to push on and finish the race ahead of his younger brother.

Robert was awarded the Avon Tyres Award for most improved lap time from qualifying to race.

Race two

Daniel dropped to 11th due to a poor start, but soon reclaimed places moving up to 8th. Daniel and Maxim Snegirev displayed some daring moves challenging each other for position, with Daniel finally pulling away from Maxim after the safety car was deployed. Unfortunately Daniel lost his 8th position to Richard Plant 2 laps from the end of the race, finishing 9th. Robert gave race 2 some real verve challenging drivers and pushing through to claim five positions, this was a real positive race for Robert and he was pleased with a finish of 16th. Robert now feels he is nearing the pace of the rest of the field and looks forward to the next round at Snetterton on the 16/17 of August.

Daniel received the Mountune Racing Cup for most improved race result.
